Random Maranatha People

Every college has them: those people who are infamous for some strange quirk. Usually no one knows their real names because they have nicknames like "Fro Boy" or "Turtle-Back, " etc. Well, here's some of the interesting people at Maranatha:
1) Cowboy Dave: Don't think I've ever seen him in anything other than his cowboy hat, big belt buckle, tight jeans, and cowboy boots. Yeah, tight jeans. =P
2) Ipod Guy: Perpetually listening to tunes in his IPod. Perpetually.
3) Skateboard Boy: Always carries around a skateboard even though we're not allowed to skateboard on campus. What in the world?
4) Midevil Warriors: A bunch of guys from Leland who stage midevil battles while wearing long black capes, foam armor, etc. Wow.
5) Powderpuff: She's shaped like...a powderpuff.
6) Skinny: An extremely skinny guy. Not to be confused with...
7) Slim: A not-so-skinny guy. 'Nuff said.
8) Opie: Pretty sure he's the long lost twin of Opie. "That's some goooood cookin', Aunt Bee!"
9) Kelly: Remember Barbie's younger sister Kelly? She's now a student at Maranatha.
Wow. Seems that most of our quirky people are guys. Hmm.......maybe it's no wonder I'm not dating.

Lil' Davey

This is my brother. Being goofy as usual. He and I have gotten really close over the past couple years. *A Shout-Out to Dave:* You crack me up! Our dorky Risk and Monopoly games! Haha. That's rich! Anyway, yeah, pretty sure he and me will be pals thru thick and thin.

Prank Calls

Last night I got a prank call. It was rich. I was in my dorm room, and some dude from Spurgeon dorm called asking for "Bob." I was all, "Um...you have the wrong number." And then I hung up, but he called back...twice...and kept being all, "Oh we must have gotten disconnected." It was pretty funny. Me and my roommates were passing the phone around and talking to him. It's pretty sad when the the guys have to resort to pranking the girls for entertainment. If nothing else, they could go and watch the two guys in Carey dorm who stage midevil battles with pool noodles and armor made out of old wrestling mats. Pretty sure I'd pay to see that one!

Saturday mornings

Saturday mornings are usually pretty slow around here. It's really nice. All my roommates are gone to work, so I'm here alone, sipping my coffee and trying to get motivated to get something done. Haha. I better get motivated pretty soon, because I've got about infinity things to do today! LOL.

Me and Laney

This is me and my best friend in all the world, Jill Delaney! Unfortunately, she is down in South Carolina at Bob Jones just now, and she's spent the last two summers in China with her family, so we haven't gotten to see each other nearly as much as we'd have liked to here lately. But we'll see each other at Thanksgiving! Yay!

Hey! Jenn Luttrull here! This is my very first time to post a blog. I'm pretty excited! Here's a pic of me and my buddy Jenna Brammer. She and I have gotten really close these past couple summers. Sad that I'm at college now, though, because I hardly ever get to see her!
