Triumphant Brass '07

Well, it's official. There will, in fact, be a Triumphant Brass '07, and I will, in fact, be in it. Yay! My fellow Triumphant Brasser's will be Rebecca Ferris, Becky Witter, Joelle Isaacs, Dan Howe, Marcus White, David Wooley, and Jeremiah and Amber Cochran. Nine of us! That's alot for a summer ensemble! But it will be so much fun. I'm pretty psyched about it. Yeah, Triumphant Brass '07! We're gonna rock!

The End

Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events has reached The End. On Friday, October 13, the thirteenth and final book reached bookstore shelves. Unfortunately, I have not yet gotten to read what I anticipate to be Snicket's greatest achievement yet. (I am on a waiting list. Becky Witter gets to read it, then I get it after her.) While I am glad that another one of these, my favorite books, has come out, it is somewhat sad to think that this is, in fact, The End. Read more about The End here.

Recent pics

Every weekend I go over to my aunt and uncle's house to do laundry. Michelle, my cousin, and I have a little tradition that whenever it's warm out we go on a bike ride, usually to Berres Brothers for coffee. Well, this is a picture of her and I on our most recent Berres Brothers expedition. Unfortunately, I fear it will be the last of the season, because it is much too cold to ride bikes now.

Last week was Spirit Week. There were a ton of crazy outfits, many of which can be viewed here. These pics are just some that I took. The one to the right is Jen Scates. For "Fourth Grade Picture Day" she did her hair in four braids. She came into my room to show me, and I spiked it up like this. It was pretty funny. I told her all she needed were some cheapy plastic barrettes like what everyone used to wear. Haha! The other two are from twin day. My entire harmony class (minus the one guy in it) decided to dress alike. (L to R: Sarah Lent, me, Kelly Kusik, Amber Maule, Jen Largent, Rebecca Ferris) Jen Largent and I decided to go one step farther and write "Jen L." and "Jenn L." on our shirts.

Other than that, my life has been pretty normal lately. Oh, by the way, I did end up revenging Katy. She was laying on her bed studying and I came up behind her and dumped about a quarter of a water bottle on her back. It was pretty funny. But then when I left the room she stuck her wet tshirt in my pillow case. So my pillow got all wet. But I got her better, so I still consider my revenge to be successful. LOL.

Funny incident

Tonite my shower was rudely interrupted by three, that's right THREE, cups of ice cold water. My roommate is so getting it. So I came back to the room really mad. Well, I wasn't really mad, but I was trying to act mad to be dramatic, because I'll admit that it was pretty funny. Well, I was trying to be dramatic and mad-acting, but when I went to put on my pants, I accidentally put both feet in the same leg. After a few seconds of what I would imagine to be some pretty hilarious-looking hopping around, I finally fell over onto my side. What made it even funnier was that I was trying to be all dramatic. Oh heavens. I couldn't even get up for about a minute because I was laughing so hard. Ha ha!! But, Katy, don't even think for a minute that you're off the hook, because you're not. I'll get you one of these days when you're least expecting it.

Cousins, recitals, Starbucks, extension, and then some

So this is my first post in a really long time, I know. I'm just busy. That's what I'll chalk it up to. = ) So anyway, here goes....
I went to my cousins' house this weekend as usual. Michelle and I went for our bike ride. We went to Berres' Brothers coffee place. That was fun. Then when we got back, she, Cathy and I went for a walk along this nature path near their house. It was a perfect day to be outside, so we had a really nice time.
Saturday night I went to Jillian Brewer's recital. She did great. = ) Afterwards I ended up going to Starbucks (!) with Dan Howe and Julie Kerr. That was fun. I hadn't ever really talked to Julie, so it was fun to get to know her a little better. Plus, STARBUCKS!!! I hadn't been there since I left for college, so let me just say it was a blessed occasion.
Extension today was great. Kelly's ministry team had an outing, but luckily the camp team from MBBC was going down there, so I got to ride with them. That was fun. They are a fun group. = )
Well, I better get going now. I'm supposed to be practicing, but I'm taking a break. LOL.
